Market sentiment continue to spiral downwards upon US export ban of chips to China, the OPEC's decision to cut oil outputs, even more rate hikes as the month's data has not shown any effect on rate hikes. Recession is looming, said many. Most REITs and Semicon are readjusting their forecasts to a more conservative levels, triggering yet another wave of sell-off.
My UMS took a hit this time round and went down to the lowest since 2019.
I noticed that SIAEC has hit my target entry price, though I thought it may continue downwards I decided to enter at 2.24. Since then it has (really) continued downwards but I just had to wait out the trough and for the economy to recover, before I can see my break-even.
Other than that my REITs remained at all time lows throughout the month, almost camping for any news on slowing down tightening measures by central Bank.
I find myself guilty of not monitoring the market mainly cos of the following reasons:
Some analysts predicted that the downtrend has to continue till next quarter, and all eyes are on whether the Central Bank has decided that the rate hike is enough. In the meantime I am busy paying off my loans (damn) so I won't have any money to play with this quarter.. the best bet is the December bonus. Hope its decent enough for me to accumulate a bit of stash. Tbh I'm so far from my target this year..
